Rolling Stone on Breitbart: He's Dead. Good!

And it gets much worse from there...

I almost hate to draw attention to this incredibly sad example of the intolerant left over at Rolling Stone, but quite frankly, Andrew Breitbart probably would have eaten this up, and tweeted it back out.

Matt Taibi, who delusionally lists himself among the ranks of 'journalist' and 'political writer' took things way too far today, posting a blog entry on the Rolling Stone site which is, in a word - abhorrent.

We've all seen examples of the intolerant left on Twitter, something that sadly is to be expected in such a crazy and unregulated platform.  But when you represent a magazine like Rolling Stone and publish something like this, then you've clearly forfeitted your right to ever, ever, call yourself a journalist.  You barely have the right to call yourself a man.

The article won't be linked here, but you can read some excerpts below - provided you have a strong enough stomach.

(Language Warning)

Taibbi posted a piece in which the title says it all - Andrew Breitbart:  Death of a Douche.

A classy start that goes downhill from there.

So Andrew Breitbart is dead. Here’s what I have to say to that, and I’m sure Breitbart himself would have respected this reaction: Good! Fuck him. I couldn’t be happier that he’s dead.

Taibbi then rounded out his piece with this paragraph, in which he appears to justify his language and contempt because Breitbart has used such language in the past.

But he also had enough of a sense of humor to appreciate why someone like me shouldn’t bother to pretend I’m sad he’s dead. He wouldn’t, in my place. So to use one of his favorite words: Good riddance, cocksucker.* Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

None of this should be a surprise really, as this man has a history of writing such controversial pieces.  Taibbi was mentioned in this New York Times Art section entry for another piece that celebrated the death of a great man.

Jeff Koyen, the editor of New York Press, the pugnacious free weekly, resigned yesterday over a cover article last week that ridiculed the failing health of Pope John Paul II. The article, a column by Matt Taibbi, had the headline "The 52 Funniest Things About the Upcoming Death of the Pope."

While the editor of the New York Press had the decency and common sense to resign over such an incendiary piece, don't expect so much as an apology from Rolling Stone.

This is what they view as 'journalism' there, and it is precisely what Andrew Breitbart has fought against for so many years.

While the sickest members of the liberal media continue to spew their hatred for a man who fought to expose what they truly represent, we can take solace in the fact that Andrew is laughing and retweeting this liberal bile straight from heaven.

#1 The expected classiness........

Taibbi is a piece of shit and has ben for an extended period - I think it is called "his whole life".

The great thing here is I know nobody wil give a rats ass when he dies except his equally jerky brother Mike and the whole bleepstain cabal at Rolling stone.

To vent any more will get me tossed from here, but I agree, Breitbart would have shoved this up his gutless backside........

If you make poverty easy, you will have more of it. Benjamin Franklin

#2 There are no words that

There are no words that adequately describe what a completely reprehensible and despicable cretin Matt Taibbi is. Dissent is one thing, but in almost every example one can find of his "writings" he goes far beyond the realm of simple disagreement and delves into the depths of deplorable character assassination and unnecessary vulgarity. The man is scum, and he always will be. The fact that The Rolling Stone condones his filth by publishing it is proof of its complicity and also shows that it should not be given any credence or credibility as anything approaching a legitimate publication, if it ever was to begin with. May God forgive you for your complete and utter lack of humanity and compassion, Taibbi.

#3 Now,..I wish that I had a subscription to...

"Rolling Stone" magazine just so I could call tomorrow and cancel it.

I've never had a subscription to "Rolling Stone", simply because,..I've never owned a parrot.

"Schadenfreude ist die schönste Freude".: "Schadenfreude is the best form of joy."

Schadenfreude, is a term coined by the Germans,...and, the only one of it's kind,...anywhere.

Schadenfreude, - means, to take extreme pleasure in the misfortune of others.

May 'Schadenfreude' be the only joy that these fuckers ever know from this day, until the day that they are tossed into Gehenna for eternity...

#4 Subscribe now

Let's all just send in cards arranging for a new subscription and cancel it after the first issue. Send in a card for all your liberal friends as well. Be sure to check the box that says "Bill me".

an unfailingly outstanding tactic in the strategic war against liberals.

A  victory obtained after getting down and rooting with the pigs in their own dirt is still a victory even if goody-two-shoes want to turn up their wrinkly noses in disgust at the tactic.

If you aren't willing to get dirty in the performance of securing total victory, then stay the hell out of the combat area.

I'm sure that providing a neutral zone to allow for a modicum of plausible deniability on your part will make you feel better about yourself.

Look how well that turned out.

Look what happens when Obama invites Paul Ryan to his speech, then insults Ryan to his face? Why play nice with a bully?

#9 I HAD a subscription a while

I HAD a subscription a while ago - I won some kind of magazine subscription deal, and since I'm a musician (and I was reading RS from the beginning), I chose it over Time, or SI, or Ladie's Home Journal, or whatever. Anyway, I took my first free year and kept it around the toilet, and occasionally found something worth reading - but most of it was not in my own musical category, and their political slant is really hardline, mentally deranged left.................and I've seen this twerp Taibi in there a number of times, and have even read some of his dreck. The guy fancies himself as some sort of Hunter Thompsan/P.J. O'Rourke type of writer - but he's so far gone on the whacked out lib mentality that he can't come close to writing, or reporting, anything truthful.

Anyway, I kept getting the rag after my free subscription ran out, and I called them a few times to cancel it, but it just kept coming, although I never got a bill, and I wouldn't let my credit card accept their billing. Finally, and mercifully, it stopped coming.

#10 Taibbi is a heartless, vile

Taibbi is a heartless, vile sack of sh*t. But if he were to die tomorrow, I'd at least have the class to either not say anything, or say may he rest in peace. So much for class I guess. So I'll just wish this for Mr. Taibbi---may he live a long, miserable and sordid life.

#12 Dave, surely you jest... animals are cleaner and contribute something to the world. These miserable bags of excrement have no justification even for employment at the buttwipe rag of a magazine that hired them.

#15 Is that the best he had?

He couldn't slam Breitbart without resorting to profanity? Wow. What a "write."

President Obama is a Muslim (from his own lips), Kenyan (read it from his publicist) a homosexual (read it on a news magazine cover) and a Socialist (I'm alive and can see it for myself)

#16 Tugboat*

One's overt use of profanity is a clear sign of lack of proper knowledge of the English language.

Idiots like Taibi prove Andrew was right all along.

#17 How unusual

A uber-liberal rag publishing hate, intolerance, gloating and foul language over the untimely death of a conservative?

How unusual.

#25 Folks, this man went beyond the pale!

This washed-up rag has always been virulently Democratic, and its publisher was yet another major media contributor to Ears' campaign in 2008. However, this bonehead really did go beyond the pale, showing total disrespect for the dead...

#29 Breitbart on Kennedy: He's dead. Good.

Do unto others...etc.
What goes around comes around.

Andrew Breitbart, a Washington Times columnist who oversees and, tapped into the anti-Kennedy vein in the hours after the senator’s death was announced, posting a series of Twitter messages in which he called Kennedy a “villain,” a “duplicitous bastard” and a “prick.”

"I'm more than willing to go off decorum to ensure THIS MAN is not beatified,” Breitbart wrote. “Sorry, he destroyed lives. And he knew it.

#30 alvin the chipmunk,

Calling Kennedy a villain and a prick is a far, far cry from wishing him dead.

Stop the hand-wringing diatribe before you seem like the bigger fool than you already are.

For the MSM: In your pomp and all your glory, you're a poorer man than me.  As you lick the boots of death born out of fear.

Ian Anderson "Wind up"

#31 trix

I see Alvins point. Rolling Stones.comments were pretty bad but so were Breitbarts

" And thus we lose a duplicitous bastard, a big ass motherf*cker, a prick who was a special pile of human excrement"

#32 Don't forget

Kennedy killed, murdered, a woman, and never admitted any fault.

Americans keeping their own earnings is a Civil Right! Demand your Civil Rights!

#33 you are right

However, he was already punished by a court of law. I do not believe he was adequately punished, but that is not for me to decide.

Breitbarts statements were very much unlike the majority of NB statements the day Ted Kennedy died which mostly gave prayers to him and his family.

#34 Good morning shawn

Punished by a court of law? Given a pass by a family friend is the truth of the matter.

Jesus Loves You so much He died for you

#35 Good morning cocodrie

I agree with you 100 percent, however the comments hours after a sitting US senator dying were still very inappropriate.

#36 I don't see anything wrong with them

All the comments Breitbart made were accurate and truthful. Kennedy was an unrepentant scoundrel no deserving of phony praise. He was not only responsible for Mary Jo's death but partially responsible for the death of over fifty million americans.
He apparently was an inspiration and role model to his alcoholic rapist nephews.

Jesus Loves You so much He died for you

#37 well cocodrie

I thought it was a mean spirited profanity laced comment that is totally opposite of what most conservatives would say

Even his Republican colleagues never brought up that part of his past. "That I know of"

It was also disrespectful to his surviving family.

#38 shawn

Heaven forbid that the establishment tarnish the false image of Camelot. They covered for Hennedy just as they covered for KKK Byrd. Kennedy's family is contiuing down the same disgraceful road that he traveled.

Jesus Loves You so much He died for you

#39 The one thing

I'd do with this article is rip it out and the next time I have to take a bowel movement, I'd use it to wipe my a@@ with. It saves having to use toilet paper.

The magazine that brought down a four star general.

A four star general that was later cleared of all wrongdoing by the way.

Whatever. Screw* Rolling Stone.

*For want of a better word.

#41 This has always been a liberal friggin rag sheet!

#42 Deeper and Deeper...

Seems the depths the liberal mind can sink has no bottom.

Completely expected of course, but nauseating nonetheless.

Its not paranoia if they're really out to get you...

#43 Rolling Fossil...

The people at Rolling Stone think they are continuing the "good fight" that began in the 60's with the anti-war dregs. The are still fighting "The Man", which is personified by conservatives and conservative thought, or, "The Establishment".

So freaking DENSE are these people at Rolling Stone, and liberals in general, that they don't realize that they ARE The Establishment. They represent the mindless, soulless, liberal orthodoxy in its worst forms. They are intellectual lightweights that fancy themselves wiser than the average man.

The silver lining is the fact that "The Times Are A' Changing." More now than ever Americans have come to realize that unmasked liberalism has brought us to where we are as a nation. November 2010 was a pre-shock to the massive electoral earthquake coming this November. Liberals have doubled-down on stupid since November 2010 have sown their own demise.

I can't wait for the show that will occur over the next four years of a Republican president and a Republican Congress. What we will see is LIBERALISM UNHINGED, unbridled lunacy on many different levels.

Andrew would have made all of it even funnier. What a great, brave, and brilliant man.

Its not paranoia if they're really out to get you...

#44 What did Breitbart do?

Did he murder a woman, like Kennedy did? Nope.
Did he rape a number of women, like Clinton did? Nope.
Did he start a race riot that killed someone, like Sharpton did? Nope.
Did he spit in people's food, because of the color of their skin, like Jackson did? Nope.

Americans keeping their own earnings is a Civil Right! Demand your Civil Rights!

#45 Amen

Amen, brother. Comparing Breitbart's comments about Kennedy as a way to justify the hateful rhetoric towards him and his family is intellectually dishonest. Andrew never had any of those crimes you just mentioned on his resume. Rolling Stone should issue an apology, but they are far too spineless.

#46 a sick mindless magazine

Rolling Stone a sick mindless magazine for people with sick mindless minds.

#47 Breitbart was a conservative trailblazer on the Web

He was smart enough and bold enough to wed emerging IT tools to the political game that had once been controlled by campaign managers and the MSM, and exploited the potential that was out there.

His success inspires other conservatives to pick up his sword and carry on.

The Left had difficulty dealing with Andrew; they will have so much more so dealing with dozens of Andrews.

The left doesn't have even a single plausible argument to back up their beliefs. Andrew put them in their place and all they can respond to reasoned arguments is name-calling. Just like they do in every other sphere in the culture wars, because their beliefs cannot stand up to critizism.

Now that he's dead they unload their vile crap on him because Andrew can't talk back. But the left will die someday and have to account for their support of evil, and while they think they can get away with their hatred, they will be judged. Severely.

#63 Conspiracy and Andrew Breitbart

Conspiracy and Andrew Breitbart

American conspiracy theories come in all stripes, from the goofy to the believable, from the bizarre to the likely, from the cruel to the fawning.

Did Lee Harvey Oswald act alone? Was 9/11 an inside job? Did Whitney Houston intentionally kill herself?

The very untimely death of arch-conservative Andrew Breitbart promises to fuel suspicions that foul play was involved. Indeed, another arch-conservative, radio commentator Michael Savage, has already suggested Breitbart was assassinated.

The 43 year old Breitbart, who had said three weeks earlier, ”Wait til they see what happens March first,” died near his Los Angeles home on Thursday, March first. According to the Associated Press and Reuters, the conservative firebrand had a history of heart problems and his personal website,, reported he died “unexpectedly from natural causes” although no cause has yet been provided.

Indicative of official doubt as to reasons for his sudden death, the LA coroner’s office announced it would conduct an autopsy. Whatever the autopsy findings, it can be certain many will conclude Andrew Breitbart was murdered by one of his many enemies.

Aside from the deaths of Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck, no conservative’s passing would have delighted the rabid left more than Breitbart’s and his enemies began to spew their hatred in venomous articles and tweets within hours of the reports.

The taxpayer-subsidized NPR called him a “provocateur” and ”bombastic.” The Huffington Post’s Arianna Huffington was about the only prominent liberal who didn’t rip Breitbart. She couldn’t bring herself to describe his political influence but did praise him as a passionate, exuberant, and fearless friend. published a few of the earliest tweets, beginning with’s Matt Yglesias’, “Conventions around dead people are ridiculous. The world outlook is slightly improved with @AndrewBrietbart dead.”

That mean-spirited observation was gracious compared to others including, “Andrew Breitbart now enjoying afternoon tea with Hitler good riddance you hack,” ”Andrew Breitbart died? Is it wrong that I’m happier about that than when they got bin Laden and Saddam?” ”Breitbart dead? More republicans should follow his lead,” “Andrew Breitbart is dead, He was a vile excuse for a human being,” and “Andrew Breitbart haha youre dead and in hell being a gay with hitler.”

I assume those tweets were either a consequence of President Obama’s call for more national civility or a reflection of the fear Obamians are experiencing as they await Breitbart’s tapes of Barack Obama at Harvard.

Breitbart referred to the tapes at his recent 2012 CPAC speech, . . . (Read more at
