Piers Morgan Tells Andrew Breitbart 'You Are Notoriously Evil About Almost Everybody'

Noel Sheppard's picture

CNN's Piers Morgan on Tuesday displayed a remarkably horrid bedside manner toward his guest Andrew Breitbart saying "you are notoriously evil about almost everybody."

An obviously shocked Breitbart responded, "Well, I don't think you know me, Piers Morgan. I think we've maybe spent eight seconds together" (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

Morgan began the segment by referencing Ronald Reagan's edict that Republicans should never speak ill of Republicans and then quickly smacked Breitbart with the "notoriously evil about almost everybody" moniker.

After the conservative publisher's response Morgan quickly replied, "It was a long eight seconds."

I quite imagine it was for Breitbart as well who gathered himself and said, "I honestly don't know what you mean by that. I've supported people, I've supported people within the Tea Party who have been attacked by the mainstream media as being racist when there's no, not a scintilla of evidence that they're racist. So I've gone out there with a snarl on my face because I'm defending good and decent people who are trying to speak to the problems that exist in the country."

Indeed. In fact Morgan himself has called the Tea Party racist while having numerous guests on his show making the same claim such as Sean Penn, Morgan Freeman, and Harry Belafonte.

Does that make him notoriously evil about almost everybody?

#1 Piers Morgan is

not notoriously evil, just monumentally ignorant. And apparently proud of it.

"Beauty is only skin deep, but liberal's to the bone." - me

#2 Ignorance

can be fixed. Stupidity cant.

If you're not getting flak, you're not over the target.

#3 And Piers is galactically

And Piers is galactically stupid on almost everything. So now what?

#4 Considering Morgan and

Considering Morgan and Basher, it seems that colossal ignorance and insufferable arrogance go along with a British accent in American politics.

Mark Steyn escaped the curse. Must be that conservative gene. ;-)

#5 Mark Steyn

The brilliant Mark Steyn is Canadian but he still had to "escape" his own curse.

#6 You miss my point, Luigi...

which was that Steyn escaped the ignorance and the arrogance that apparently go with the accent. It has nothing to do with where he was born or lives.
I know he's Canadian.

#7 Mark Steyn

....attended school in England, hence the accent.

#8 I see.

I didn't realize it was that easy to pick up an accent. I should have guessed when after a few years of spreading STD's around England Madonna picked up a strange new way of speaking.

#9 Luigi, most of his childhood, IIRC

That's why his accent is real as opposed to Madge's put-on accent.

It's hard not to pick up at least a little bit of it. One of my very good friends is a Brit, and I do pick up some of her quirks, (mostly just to tease a bit), like "in-ven-tree", or "bloody" (which sort of means the f-bomb, but most Americans don't know that so it's easy to get away with). Or odd spellings, favour, honour, etc. But not the accent.

#10 After living in England for

After living in England for three years, while my sons were 6-9 years old (twins) and went to a Church of England school, they came back to the states sounding just like blokes.

#11 Kichen Nightmares

I don't have an accent but after watching my favorite show I use words like hideous and dreadful not to mention the phrase bloody hell. Thanks Gordon.

#12 hideous and dreadful

If you're referring to Gordon Ramsay, that show itself is hideous and dreadful. I do like the "bloody hell" phrase though. Picked that up on a visit to London 20 years ago and still one of my favorites (or favourites if you prefer!).

#13 Me too...

My dad was in the Air Force, and we were stationed in England for almost 4 years when I was small, and I also picked up the accent. Our next assigment was at the Armed Forces Staff College in Norfolk, Va., and some of the kids there told me that I sounded "funny" sometimes when I talked! It's amazing how quickly kids in particular pick up languages and accents.

#14 accent - just add

I know that our accents always got more pronounced to match the locals in whatever port side tavern we ended up patronizing.

. . Socialist = Modern Liberal = Parasitoid

#15 Maine

My wife is from Maine, I'm from Virginia. If I go up there and spend a couple of weeks, I start picking up the accent. They tell me I talk funny.

If you're not getting flak, you're not over the target.

#16 we don't talk funny up heah

weah simple people, drive ahr cahs and cut the trees :)
ayuh

#17 How will this get ratings????

What on earth is CNN thinking. How on earth will this obnoxious reprobates  blather bring in money or ratings to CNN?   Even Maddow has higher ratings than Morgan. Morgan and Madow combined have fewer viewers than Hannity.

What is CNN thinking?

#18 Incredible

What a rude way to start an interview. I'm sure Andrew thought so too, I'm kind of surprised he didn't really lash back more than he did, as he enjoys nothing more than annoying liberals.

Rock on, Andrew. He's one of my favorite conservatives around on almost any topic.

Oh, note to CNN, your guest "background" is horrid.

#19 Mr Morgan-lets look back your-

history.
hack Liberal Radical from somewhere other than here.
Go home hack.

Fast & Furious along with Solyndra are example of who BHO is BHO Policies have caused Failed Economy- Liberals = Wealth Re-distribution

#20 This reminds me of that Aussie troll from the other day

Totally ignorant about our values and politics, yet comes here to lecture us.

That Paatch troll had me rolling my eyes, but laughing at his incessantly stupid whining. Pretty good entertainment as the rest of you "enlightened" him. Too bad this Brit was so rude and kept cutting off Reagan & Andrew B, who were doing their best to enlighten the boorish Piers.

#21 Unfortunately there are a number of Brits...

who still look down their noses at us "yanks" here in the "colonies" and feel that we and our culture are common and somewhat beneath them, and love to lecture us about that...The irony of their own behavior in such instances is, of course, lost on them.

#22 Piers

is still under investigation in Britain for the phone hacking scandal, unless I've heard incorrectly.

President Obama is a Muslim (from his own lips), Kenyan (read it from his publicist) a homosexual (read it on a news magazine cover) and a Socialist (I'm alive and can see it for myself)

#23 I find Piers Morgan insufferable.........

with his barrage of ad hominem attacks on anything conservative.

In my eyes, Andrew is a hero to any truth loving American which is counter to Piers who lives in the twisted world of the left. That there are people who would watch and enjoy listening to his type of attack interview is what I find the most troubling.

Though not nearly as bad as Piers, Chris Wallace often makes me cringe by some of his inhospitable interviews with those on the left. Chris, let them speak........they will hang themselves!

Pay as you go is a Ponzi scheme!

#24 Does Piers actually think that being a polical clone of every

other talking head on CNN and MSNBC is going to generate increased ratings? Piers, your show is boring and unwatchable. Being like everyone else isn't working for you.

#25 Alive?

Is Piers still alive? I thought for sure he was dead. Well, I guess at least his career is dead.

#26 The phone hacker is making judgements on others?

Paul McCartney must be laughing somewhere....

#27 Liberals hate everyone!

Because leftism fills many of its adherents with contempt and hatred their meanness toward those with whom they differ has no echo on the normative right. As long as they continue to believe that people on the right are not merely wrong but vile, they will get increasingly mean.

"The trouble with quotes on the internet is you never know if they are genuine" —Abraham Lincoln

#28 Just an Embarassment

What is surprising is that this Snot Clown is still on the air. CNN really is a disaster.

#29 CNN was better then FOX

FOX News last night hit all time lows. Before the vote had been counted when Romney had 35% of the vote Larry, Moe and Curly also known as Steve Hayes, Bill Kristol, and Juan Williams. All three pronounced that turnout was down which shows that the Republicans were not enthused, but that was a falsehood because the voter turnout in NH was up.

They proclaimed that Romney had failed to meet his expectations which shows he is a weak candidate. He finished with 39% of the vote which surprised everyone but the three stooges. Every political analyst conservative, liberal, and neutral were on board that this was a major win except for FOX and their three stooges.

These same three said that Romney's showing in Iowa had been a "huge failure" all three said that exact quote doing analysis of the Iowa caucuses. Because Rick Santorum and Ron Paul were leading at that point.

These three dislike/hate/despise Romney choose your adjective here, but they are not being honest, professional or ethical. I was in two threads last night on FB and both of them had over 400 people who had left comments ripping FOX News.

Almost all of them saying they switched to CNN after Kristol and his employee Hayes flashed their immense ignorance of politics. I also switched to CNN and I was upset by some of their commentators, but they were honest and showed a greater grasp of politics then the three stooges have or ever will have.

#30 Having not watched CNN's coverage, I don't know....

if it was in fact better, but you're right about much of Fox's commentary from the three you mentioned...It was awful and just plain inaccurate. Bill Kristol clearly doesn't like Romney...Juan Williams is a Dem, so I don't expect truly unbiased analysis from him about any Republican issue, and as for Stephen Hayes, I was surprised at his comments. He usually strikes me as intelligent and thoughtful, but he sure fell off the beam last night. I don't know if there is an institutional hostility toward Romney at the Weekly Standard, but based on what I heard last night from Kristol and Hayes, I'm beginning to wonder, and I subscribe to the Weekly Standard. If this type of nonsense continues, I'll cancel my subscription, and it isn't because I'm such a huge Romney supporter, because I'm not...It would be because of the obvious bias against him, which has and may well continue to color their analysis and reporting, and that is not what I am paying for. Giving an opinion is one thing, but allowing that opinion and possible bias against a candidate to skew their reporting and analysis is quite another.

I was really quite disappointed in Fox's commentary last night from this panel...I expect honest and balanced reporting and analysis from Fox, and that is not what I saw last night.

#31 I really wish

some Republican would respond to idiots like Piers by asking then "when did they decide to give up any pretense of being actual newsmen and accept that they were just shills for Obama?"

#32 Well if the comments section

Well if the comments section at his website are any indication as to how Breitbart's persona in real life, I'd be very worried.

The Rocky Mountain Collegian: Illustrating Idiocy

#33 comments section

First off I've never seen anything that comes close to the vile that comes out of DailyKos etc. on any of Breitbarts "Big" sites, secondly don't know what that would have to do with his personal actions anyway! maybe you should clarify, I'm confused........

#34 Does anyone know what Piers Morgan's ratings are like?

Because with any luck they're awful, which I think is likely the case, and hopefully he'll be off the air soon. What an a$$.

#35 Looked it up for you....

Just google "cable news ratings"..you can see for yourself. But the short version is; this idiot is lower even than the MadCow on MSLSD. About 1/5 of anything on FOX...and when added up to the rest of cable TV, this fool is lower than the cartoon network....and the travel channel.....CNN did a good job when they hired this blithering idiot...sarc/

#36 Thanks for the info...That's pretty much what I figured...

Now the question is, how much longer will that boorish clod last over there??

#37 Piers Morgan is a far left

Piers Morgan is a far left liberal bordering on Socialist, he has not had a single program that would appeal to an intelligent audience. He does the far left wiggle to keep enough interest to save that sorry excuse for a show on the air. Any other network would have cancelled it months ago with such small ratings, but the lefts network of choice can not admit total failure yet. Sometimes his show is good for comedy relief but it is never fact based and no one (except the far left) would take it seriously.

#38 Piers Morgan is a British Socialist

He's got his head stuck up his bollocks as a Brit might say. I guess having been a judge on Britain's Got Talent in the UK, a judge on America's Got Talent and as the winner of The Celebrity Apprentice makes him well qualified to comment on American politics - well at least at CNN.

#39 Were I in Breitbart's shoes,

Were I in Breitbart's shoes, my response would probably have been "I see you're not even wasting the energy pretending to be objective." Or something like that, I've got a whole lot of ideas.

#40 Had it been me

Andrew has more restraint than I. Had it been me my response would have been, "Yes, Piers, and you are a notoriously insufferable, pompous ass, but moving on to the topic at hand....."

#41 Why do people...

Who know that Piersy boy is going to try to make mincemeat of them go on his show? Or more importantly why do they go on his show not ready to do battle in the same way that the left smears anyone with views that are have not passed the DNC talking points?. Disappointed in Breitbart for not being better prepared . If your not willing to give as good as you get and or better than don't go on shows like this. How many times does this have to be repeated to the conservatives that they should either not go on or be prepared to tear a new one on their hosts if they feel the attacks coming. Enough said.
