Freudian Slip: Chris Matthews Accidentally Calls His Network 'M-BS-NBC'

Noel Sheppard's picture

Is Chris Matthews subconsciously starting to realize he represents a so-called cable news network that routinely plays fast and loose with the facts?

On Wednesday's Hardball, the host accidentally called his station "M-BS-NBC" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

CHRIS MATTHEWS: First lady Michelle Obama pushes back against a new book she says tries to portray her as an angry black woman. [Unintelligible] a fair charge, but we’re going to listen to it. Here it is, Hardball, coming back in just a moment on M-BS-NBC.

Finally Matthews said something conservatives can agree with.

#1 All I can say is....

That is almost ringtone quality!

Seriously though, is Panama Tingles in training to compete with his coworker Al on the teleprompter capability front?

That an individual right exists requires that some policy positions be removed from the table of debate.

#2 I'd pay for a ringtone

of Matthews saying that last sentence.

Proud member of the 53%!

#3 Personally I like the one

Personally I like the one guest who called the network 'MSDNC'

it rolls of the tongue so much easier.

The truth slips out once in a while.

Looks like Chrissy was reading about himself on the interwebs again!

The government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

#7 ROFLMAO! Noel made my day with this one

I would say he made my week, but Bama did that Monday night. :-)

Vote for the American in November

A new moniker is born. I guess I will now have to switch from MessNBC to M-BS-NBC.

#10 I am so furious

that I did not think of that first. It is so appropriate

#11 Huckabee Beat Him To It

Heard him call MSNBC MBSNBC during an interview with Bill O'Reilly a couple of months ago. Bill didn't even bat an eye.

To more fully comprehend the Left, one must read “Leftism As Psychopathy” by John Ray, M.A., Ph.D. Caution, it might scare you a little bit.

#12 dear mouth

dear mouth wait for the tiny brain to follow. what a bleach headed dork.

#13 I'll bet comcast...

I'll bet comcast execs get a tingle up their leg when they here these Bidenesque gaffes from the smarmy one. but of course his ratings are saving him from any real criticism. Right? Doesn't he have great ratings?
"Don't let the bastards grind you down."

#14 Freudian slip you say?

Didn't Freud also say that sometimes a cigar is just a cigar?

#15 Wasn't that what Bill told

Wasn't that what Bill told Monica? ahem

#16 truth

First time in his life that he told the truth !

#17 I believe what we just heard

I believe what we just heard was one of those random acts of journalism committed despite their best efforts to the contrary. Ah,truth...inconvenient to some, but all the more enjoyable for that!

#18 Must be a manifestation of disinhibition from drugs/alcohol.

We see a lot of patients having "disinhibition" moments with multiple classes of medications, but primarily those in the anxiolytic, antidepressant, antiseizure or antipsychotic categories with significant sedation potential. Add in a fifth of Scotch or consumption of other mass quantities of adult beverages, and you have a misanthropic mess like Prissy. Wonder which one of his meds set him over the edge?

What about those of us who never really *had* a filter? Blurters I guess you'd call it?
